Weekend Project: Create a Reading Nook

November 9, 2012

Via Design Sponge

Like many of you I love to read, I can’t ever seem to find enough time to do it, but I try to as much as I can. When you can find the time, it’s good to have a cozy place to go, that’s why for today’s weekend project post we’ll go through how to create the perfect space. Now, it would be nice to have a window seat or to be able to turn a closet into a reading area, but that’s not always realistic. What you need is a corner of room, good lighting, and a place to store your books and rest your hot chocolate.

I posted this DIY teepee from A Cup of Jo on the Facebook page the other day. Build it and maybe the kiddies will take a reading break or a nap so you can enjoy your book nook! Have a great weekend!

Reading Nook

ONE: A comfy chair obvi a must, this one is from Bassett Furniture/TWO: Good lighting is a must, so you don’t need the granny readers (like me!), this lamp is from Target/THREE: Also from Target, a chic side table for your books and your coffee cup/FOUR: A comfy throw to cuddle up in, this one is from Crate and Barrel/FIVE: A basket to hold a never ending supply of books!/ SIX: A place to rest your feet, like this Serena and Lily Moroccan Leather Pouf.
